Granola bowl ideas: 5 breakfasts in 5 minutes
Granola is only as good as what you put under it. These five bowls are the ones we actually eat at home in Lahore, and none takes more than five minutes.

Dahi, granola and fruit: the classic granola bowl
1. The classic yogurt parfait
Plain dahi (150 g), a layer of granola, sliced banana or whatever fruit is in season, then another sprinkle of granola on top so it stays crunchy. Add a drizzle of honey only if your yogurt is sour. This is the bowl that made granola famous and it needs no improvement.
2. Banana and peanut butter
Mash half a banana into the yogurt, stir in a teaspoon of peanut butter, top with granola. Tastes like dessert, keeps you full until two o'clock. Works best with Whey Protein Granola because the peanut and whey together get a bowl past 20 g of protein.

3. Lassi crunch
Very Pakistani, very good in summer. Blend yogurt with a splash of cold milk and a pinch of salt or sugar, pour into a glass, top with a handful of granola. Eat with a spoon before the granola sinks. Kids will eat this when they refuse everything else.

Real clusters: oats, roasted almonds and seeds, baked with honey
4. The chai-time bowl
Not every granola moment is breakfast. A small bowl of dry granola clusters next to evening chai does what biscuits do, with almonds instead of maida. A few clusters of Nutty Honey Crunch with a cup of doodh patti is our own five o'clock habit.
5. The weight-gain bowl
For anyone trying to add calories properly rather than with junk: full-fat yogurt, a whole banana, a tablespoon of peanut butter, a handful of chopped dates, and 60 g of granola instead of 40. That is a 600-plus calorie bowl with real protein, and it goes down easier than a third roti.
Two rules
Always granola on yogurt, not milk; milk turns it soft in a minute. And keep the jar sealed between bowls; in Karachi humidity an open jar goes chewy in a day.
