Why the seeds come in two halves

    First half · follicularEstrogen

Builds the lining of your womb and ripens the egg. Rising estrogen is behind the lift in energy and skin many women feel before ovulation.

What the research showsFlax is the richest food source of lignans, the plant compounds most studied in how the body handles oestrogen. In a 1993 study, women eating ground flax daily ovulated in every cycle, against three cycles with no egg released in the group not taking it. Phipps et al., J Clin Endocrinol Metab, 1993 ↗

    Second half · lutealProgesterone

Takes over after the egg is released and settles the body down. Its fall at the end of the cycle brings your period, and much of PMS with it.

What the research showsSesame carries its own lignans. In a placebo-controlled crossover, daily sesame powder raised SHBG by 15% and lowered DHEA-S by 18%, both markers of how freely hormones circulate. Worth knowing: the dose was five times what seed cycling uses, and the women were postmenopausal. Wu et al., J Nutrition, 2006 ↗

    Is it safe?

Yes. It is whole food, and no serious side effects have been reported in any trial. Two small things:

    • A little bloating in week one. It is the extra fibre. Drink more water.
    • Flax is well within safe limits. A spoon is 10g, a third of the EU safe level.

    Good questions

    Before you
    start

    Do ground seeds go off?

Slowly. Keep the jar sealed and cool, and finish it within a few weeks. At a spoon a day it runs out well before then. Prefer to grind at home? Choose whole at checkout, same price.

    Why grind them at all?

Whole flax passes straight through you, so we grind it. Pumpkin and sunflower are fine whole. Sesame works either way.

    Does seed cycling actually work?

The seeds are genuinely nutritious and the early research is promising. It is food, not medicine, so we keep our promises honest.

Which seeds do I eat when?

Days 1 to 14: 1 tbsp flax + 1 tbsp pumpkin. Days 15 to 28: 1 tbsp sesame + 1 tbsp sunflower. Longer or shorter cycle? Switch at ovulation.

Should I buy the kit or single jars?

The kit: all four seeds for a full cycle, cheaper than four jars. Single jars are for topping up.

    How should I eat them?

A spoon of each a day in yogurt, oats, a smoothie or Granola Pop. Avoid baking them.

What if my periods are irregular?

Follow the moon: Phase 1 from the new moon, Phase 2 from the full moon. Pregnant or managing a hormone condition? Check with your doctor first.

Seed cycling kit price in Pakistan: how the kits compare

Most seed cycling kits in Pakistan cost around Rs 2,750 to Rs 3,500. They differ in how much seed you get, whether the seeds come in separate jars or mixed blends, and what else is in the box. Here is how ours sits next to the kits that show up most when you search.

    KitWhat you getPricePer 100 g
Date Pop Seed Pop Full Cycle Kit 4 jars of 250 g (1,000 g): flax, pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, one seed per jar, labelled by phase, sent whole Rs.3,000 Rs.300
NutriDiva Seed Cycling Kit 2 jars of 360 g (720 g), each a mix of that phase's two seeds, plus spearmint tea Rs 2,890 about Rs 400
Women Bloom Seed Cycling Kit 2 phase blends of 210 g (420 g) Rs 2,750 about Rs 655

Prices checked on each brand's own website on 13 October 2026. Our price is live from our shop. Other brands may have changed theirs since.

What to check before you buy any kit

    • Grams, not just price. A kit with 420 g and a kit with 1,000 g are not the same purchase. Divide the price by the weight.
    • Separate jars or mixed blends. With one seed per jar you can see exactly what you are eating and top up one seed at a time with a single jar or a Phase 1 (Rs.1,810) or Phase 2 (Rs.1,290) bundle.
    • Whole or ground. Whole seeds keep for months; ground seeds are best used within a few weeks. Ours come whole, so grind flax and sesame at home just before you eat them.
    • Extras. Teas and guides are nice, but check you are not paying mostly for the extras.
    • How long it lasts. At a level tablespoon of each of that phase's two seeds a day, our 1,000 g kit lasts about seven weeks.

Seed cycling kit ki price kya hai?

Pakistan mein zyada tar seed cycling kits Rs 2,750 se Rs 3,500 tak hain. Date Pop ka Seed Pop Full Cycle Kit Rs.3,000 ka hai: chaar jar, har ek 250 g (alsi, kaddu ke beej, til aur surajmukhi ke beej), poore Pakistan mein cash on delivery.

    Kit or seeds bought separately?

Buying the four seeds yourself can cost less, but you weigh, label and keep track of four seeds yourself. A kit saves that work: the jars are portioned and labelled by phase, so you always know which two seeds you are on.
