The price comes down to four things: which date is inside, whether it is plain, stuffed or coated in chocolate, how much you get, and the box itself. Under Rs 1,500: favours and small gifts
At this price you are buying a few special dates rather than a kilo. Our Mini Box of 4 hand-stuffed chocolate dates (Rs 450 to 500) is the classic nikkah bid box and mehndi favour; ten of them come as the Mini Party Pack for Rs 4,000, or Rs 400 a box. A Snack Box of 12 (Rs 1,350 to 1,650) is a generous small gift for a friend or a host. Al-Harmain Dates also sells chocolate coated dates, 12 for Rs 1,399, though they were sold out when we checked.
Rs 1,500 to 4,000: the everyday gift box
This is where most Eid, dawat and thank-you gifts sit. You can go two ways:

Chocolate dates are priced by the piece and plain dates by weight, so compare what the person will enjoy rather than the grams.

Rs 4,000 to 7,000: a kilo of premium Saudi dates
For a full kilo of good dates in a gift box, expect Rs 5,000 to 6,500. The Flower Studio's 1 kg Premium Dates Box costs Rs 4,990 with Qalmi dates, Rs 5,500 with Ajwa and Rs 6,400 with Mabroom, or Rs 1,990 with softer, cheaper Mazafati. Paksoorty Dates sells a 1 kg round gift box for Rs 5,000 and a 1.2 kg box of six Saudi varieties for Rs 6,000, and Al Madni Trader's wooden gift boxes are Rs 6,000 to 6,500. Luxury imported dates: what the top end costs
At the top of the market is the best-known imported luxury date brand from the Gulf. Its dates are sold as organic and it is known for its packaging. These were the prices on its Pakistan website on 6 October 2026:

Its gift sets start at about Rs 7,500 for an extra small Palm Tree box and go up to Rs 110,440 for its largest wooden box. For comparison, other online sellers in Pakistan charge Rs 5,000 to 7,400 a kilo for Medjool. With a luxury brand you are paying for the name and the presentation as much as the dates, and for a statement gift that can be worth it.
Why one box of dates costs more than another
- The date. Aseel and Mazafati are everyday dates; Ajwa, Mabroom, Medjool and Amber cost several times as much a kilo. See khajoor prices by type.
- Plain, stuffed or chocolate. Every filling means more hand work, and real chocolate costs more than a thin compound coating.
- The box. Wooden, leather and velvet boxes can add more to the price than the dates inside.
- The brand and the import. Imported luxury dates carry shipping and import costs. Boxes made by hand in Pakistan don't.
